I understand this thread is 1+ years and getting greyer than my beard, but I have a 1password Mac v6 and iOS v7 oddity. And the rest continues with a 1Password 7 deal. Your best option is to upgrade to a 1Password membership: 1Password 7 is still receiving regular updates and it's fully compatible with the version of macOS you are using. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that it will be possible to get this version working on your new system as it is currently configured, and thus I would highly recommend upgrading to the newer 1Password 7. It supports macOS Yosemite and El Capitan but was not designed with macOS Catalina or even the older Mojave in mind.
